At Hogan Farm, we proudly raise heritage-breed English Large Black pigs. Known for their calm nature, hardiness and excellent foraging ability, they are ideally suited to our 100% free-range farming system.

Their distinctive large ears help protect their eyes while foraging, and their dark skin provides greater protection from the Australian sun. They thrive outdoors, naturally exploring the paddocks and enjoying a varied diet of locally sourced fruits, vegetables, bread and grains.

We chose the English Large Black because it supports our commitment to animal welfare, sustainable farming and exceptional pork with rich flavour, tenderness and quality.

Hogan Farm is proudly family-owned and operated in New Italy, NSW. Since 2019, the Hogan family has worked together to raise their pigs with genuine care, patience and respect.

Being family run means every part of the farm is personal—from feeding and checking the animals to caring for the land and producing quality pork. Their hands-on approach ensures the pigs receive the attention they deserve while allowing the family to stay true to their values of ethical farming, sustainability and animal welfare.
